The Heirloom Process

1. Begin your Heirloom Commission

The first step in your heirloom journey begins with booking a session with Hannah Majure Portraits. You may fill out the inquiry form, email me directly at [email protected], or reserve your session through the booking tab above. If you don’t see a date that works for your schedule, please reach out via email. I’m always happy to help accommodate when possible.

2. Planning

Planning your session is completely tailored to you. We can meet by phone, correspond via email, or schedule a virtual consultation. We’ll discuss your vision for your heirloom portraits, and if you’d like to utilize my complimentary wardrobe, we’ll cover those options during this time.

3. The session

All sessions are held in my home studio in Mobile, Alabama. I carefully curate a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere where both you and your children feel at home, creating space for their genuine expressions and personalities to come through. Sessions are unrushed and child-led, typically lasting 15–45 minutes per child.

4. Post Session

Within three days of your session, you will receive your proofing gallery via email. From there, you’ll select your favorite images, and once your selections are confirmed, I will begin editing them. I kindly ask that favorites be chosen within one week. If you need help narrowing down your selections, a complimentary proofing consultation is available. Final edited images will be delivered within two weeks.

5. Printing and Framing

I highly recommend printing and framing your heirloom portraits. These images are meant to be displayed in your home, becoming timeless keepsakes for your family, rather than living only in a camera roll. I offer fine art printing and custom framing and would love to guide you through the process of creating a beautiful keepsake (or a few!) for your home.

The Pastel Process

1. Book a Session with Hannah Majure Portraits

The first step of commissioning a Jeni Keheller Pastel is booking an heirloom session with me! You can use any photo from your session for a reference photo for your pastel. We offer special, discounted pricing for an oil pastel sitting fee if you do not wish to include traditional heirloom edited digital images.

2. Pick a Reference Photo

After your session, we will send you a gallery of your proofs. Once you choose your reference photo, we will send it to Jeni, and your pastel will be added to her waitlist.

3. Await your pastel

Once Jeni has completed your pastel, a picture will be sent to you for review. If you do not wish to make any changes, the pastel will be shipped to you.
